The NYC Operational Epidemiological Modelling for Decision Support Toolkit (working title; the “Toolkit”) was designed by the National Center for Disaster Preparedness (NCDP) and developed as part of the work of NYC Preparedness & Recovery Institute’s (PRI) Epidemiology & Modeling Team.
The Toolkit is a draft resource designed to support more effective collaboration among the people who build epidemiological models, the agencies and operational partners who use them, and the policymakers and NYC leaders who may act on model findings. The Toolkit serves to help people work from a shared vocabulary, process, and set of expectations when requesting, developing, communicating, and using epidemiological models for response, policy, and operations.
As part of this effort, PRI and NDCP invite you to The Columbia Forum on Monday October 19 at 1:30PM for a workshop titled Operationalizing Epidemiological Models for Decision Support in NYC. This workshop is an opportunity for the people who build, interpret, communicate and act on epidemiological models to shape the draft Toolkit before it is finalized. The workshop will introduce participants to the Toolkit’s current prototypes and gather feedback to ensure the tools are practical, accessible, and responsive to real-world public health emergencies in New York City.
Participation in this workshop requires approval. Expect to be approved, denied or waitlisted within 3 business days.
